Starfish Sushi in Riverside

I'm sure some will complain about lack of sushi selection or whatever the standard snobbery is, but I've always enjoyed the service the food and the prices.

Delicious fish, real wasabi, quality sake, great service and accommodations. Perfect neighborhood sushi spot! "Rock and Roll"

Love their dragon rool and tge spicy Tuna hand role. In fact i have tried other spicy Tuna hand roles around this area and this one is hands down the best! Take out is available and the staff is great!

Food is always delicious, servers are very friendly and are always willing to make conversation with the customers. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Have to deduct a star because the food is pricey and takes quite a long time to be served.

The sushi is good but the service sucks!!!

Went there with some friends on a Tuesday night. There were a few people in the restaurant and the 5 of us. We waited for the food for more than half an hour, plus one of us didn't receive any food. Finally, after almost one hour and after complaining with the staff, all the food arrived. The sushi is decent. Good deals with the combo, but nothing special at all.

They used to have really slow service, but in recent months they have improved. Good quality food with a large selection. Great lunch specials as well.

FOOD: was so-so at best. I ordered the 2 item Lunch which as Sushi and Sashmi when it finally came after my Mom already are her lunch it was warm from sitting on the sushi bar.SERVICE: I really felt sorry for the only girl there as she was swamped and the service was HORRIBLE no refilling drinks again only one waitress and it was getting really busy and only one Sushi Chief and he was not good at all!PRICING: way to high for what you get and they have a sign that states if party of 6 or more 18% gratuity! WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY THINKING!!!!Thanks to to the Lord I was not paying as if I was I would not leave a tip as it was that BAD!!

Great sushi, service is lacking. They need more servers during peak times.

Good food. Unfortunate hours. Closes for two hours in the middle of the day everyday

Bathroom is really grunge nd behind the counter is nasty on the wall. Prices are high for amount they give you. Really don't like the bathroom right off the kitchen

The food looks tasty, but after waiting an hour (and having to flag down the eye-rolling waitress to even order) I still haven't gotten anything so I can't actually comment to the quality.Small update, shortly after posting my original review it was revealed that they did not know that ramen is traditionally a soup, and at that point we just gave up.

I absolutely LOVE this place!! It's right across the street from my home so you can imagine how often I'm there process are reasonable the lunch special is great! The only con to this sushi place is they close in the middle of the day to open back up @4.

This place is Sugar Fish quality. Service is a little slow but very friendly staff. Honestly, the best sushi I have ever had.

Sushi is OK

Hard time finding real Wasabi root. Only place in town. It was worth the search and $5 charge. Service and food great!

I had my mind set on tacos last night wich I ordered but after seeing my girlfriends sushi my kind was changed real quick. Great serves and sushi only downside it took a little long. Still can't wait to go back!

I ordered the beef udon which tastes good until I found two bugs in the soup!!!

Great sushi and decent service

Friendly, nice staff, quint and little. They even give you 10% off your bill if you pay with cash, or you can get free sake, free desert, or a free California roll! Yum!

It used to be better. Prices went up for their lunch menu and quality was reduced. It's pretty cheap still though.

I normally order the lunch or dinner combos, which is a great healthy option. You select a protein and a few different sides. Their sushi is good, but not the best.

Food is good, sushis are alright (not the best sushi that I had), but let me suggest you if you are going to pick an appetizer “Monkey Ball” is the best! Price is average and I people treated us respectfully.

Sum dude spit on my ling long dawg paw, so I went to go to management and they called me white scum and ordered me to leave. But really good food so five stars.

Took almost 30 minutes to get my to go order ready when they promised 15 minutes.

They have good sushi and I would come here again. Servers take a bit too long to accommodate their customers however.

They brought my food and my husband had to wait 1 more hour to get his, but they made his ramen with no broth, so we finally left. Sushi was just OK.

They used to be good, but recently they are horrible!!!! Long wait times, rotten lemons always served when asked for some on the sides. Prices are way up there for small portions. Also, last night went in and they brought sushi before appetizers, had another new waiter who forgot my drink, brought my dad cold saki, my husband a cup that had already been used with water. Took 30 min for him to come back to our table to place order. Then forgot my husbands gyoza at the end. They need their manager there at all times. It’s so sad how starfish has become. They always have new staff and they have no clue what they are doing and are very very rude! You can always hear them yelling at each other like no one is even in the restaurant. Common starfish!!

Not bad but you order something from the menu and they don't have it but if you want to try and nice and good sushi Go figs Sushi on LA Habra CA.

Rode the bus out here it says they are open till 230 they are closed wouldn't be going here

it was okay, the sushi pieces were kind of small, but it's a good location and pretty average on the price side for the kind of sushi you are getting and the staff is really nice.

So frustrating because the food is good but the service and organization is very poor!! I did a phone order and still waited 20 min, people came up asking for bill cause they waited too long, couldn’t find my bill..... GET MANAGER TO RUN THINGS!!
